UPDATE: Return to the Blog (following a vvvverrryyyyy LONG hiatus)

Yeah… so my low frustration tolerance, my poor internet accessibility (well BEFORE my hubby got me Starlink), and realizing most of my damn family wasn’t even reading all my hard work, lead to the big black hole that had previously been my blog (i.e., the summation of Kay and Karl’s adventures as we travel full-time on the road). A few times over the past year my sister and a couple of my friends had encouraged me to return to writing, and I began to get re-motivated. However, I was kind of spinning my wheels because I HAD to try to do Newfoundland justice before I focused elsewhere and I had abandoned writing about those adventures midstream. Therefore, it basically all felt insurmountable. So…(insert big sigh here…)… I paid the damn money to keep this site in action for another year and decided I would finish off my Newfoundland drafts that I had started - and figure out a way that I could simultaneously catch up on the past and report on our present day adventures.

I decided I would clearly label each post from here on out as to when/where it was in our travels so that you, my reader, could know what chapters/adventures you were following and could choose what you wanted to read accordingly. That way I can begin to focus live on our current (June 2026) journey through Canada to Alaska, and make it obvious from each individual title as to what leg of our journey I am sharing. And, who knows - perhaps if I get on a roll I can have the time to summarize our previous trips to California and the rest of the lower 48 states that we’ve gone to since I last blogged 2 & 1/2 years ago! But I am NOT committing to anything because that just undermines any hopes of success. The cover photo to this entry is a photo of the states (and Canadian Provinces) that we had visited when we hit Newfoundland. It was very exciting to earn the Newfoundland and Labrador sticker after visiting the other Atlantic Canada Provinces that summer (that I already blogged about).
