While in Arco, one of our neighbors told us a MUST stop on our way to Oregon, and that was Shoshone Falls in Twin Falls, ID. It's kind of silly that when we were approaching the area I was almost as excited to be in "TWIN FALLS" as I was to see the actual falls themselves! (Shout out to my beloved FAB 5 twins, Lee & Lynne - I felt like the signs were monuments in their honor!)

Shoshone Falls is referred to as the "Niagara of the West"- and at 212 ft tall and 900 ft wide, it's one of the largest natural waterfalls in the US and is actually higher than Niagara Falls. It's located on the Snake River and carved itself through a deep basalt Canyon on its way to the Columbia River...SIMPLY BEAUTEOUS!!!!! Forget about words - here are some pics... (oh and the rainbow was a nice exclamation point as well!)

Meet my blog setter-upper-helper...

RoRo The Wonder Dog saved me when I thought I couldn't get this blog going! He abandoned me years ago when he and his sister, Yuka, and his people moved away. But he was there for me when I needed him!
